Job Responsibilities: The Senior Manager, Communications & Analysis leads the creation of proactive reputation management strategies and communications plans to elevate the ADA's reputation among the dentists and the public as the pre-eminent source of trusted oral health information and resources. Target audiences include dentists and dental influencers as well as external key opinion leaders such as health and health policy influencers, federal legislators, regulatory agencies, think tanks, and allied health organizations. This position provides big picture strategic thinking, vision, analytical skills and leadership of cross-divisional subject matter expert and communications teams to deliver and measure high profile communications programs and impactful content that promotes the expertise and value of the ADA as well as the importance of oral health to overall health. This position also oversees national consumer media relations and communications counseling and training of national ADA officers and C-Suite ADA executives to promote and protect the ADA's master brand.
A minimum of 8 years of communications experience in a corporate, government, non-profit, or agency.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a digital and social media environment, creating and executing content, providing strategic leadership and managing complex and collaborative communications programs.
Experience with managing project budgets, and measuring the effectiveness of communications programs.
Experience understanding content development and delivery, identifying insights, and utilizing paid, earned and owned media channels.
Experience supervising staff.
Ability to lead with high energy

Ability to analyze and utilize data to create and inspire great work
Ability to build and manage diverse relationships, work effectively both independently and in a team, manage complex projects to successful completion, multi-task, and work within tight deadlines.
Have excellent collaborative leadership, written and oral communication, presentation, project management, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Nice to Have:
Previous experience in a health care industry and/or public relations agency.
Experience facilitating media and/or public speaking training.
Familiarity with health care issues.
