This position serves as a liaison for Institutional and Corporate members and sponsors for the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) including membership, exhibitions, and sponsorship. The Coordinator is also the administrator for IADR/AADOCR awards, fellowships, and grants.
This position is designated as management-level “exempt” under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and reports directly to the Director of Strategic Programs.
Awards, Fellowships, and Grants
- Manage more than 100 awards annually from application to funding
- Serve as staff liaison to all awards committees
- Ensure the award review process is in place and being conducted per Association guidelines
- Collect information from award recipients for annual meeting (i.e. media lists, personal information for payment, photos)
- Provide awards information for marketing and annual meeting Opening Ceremonies (Annual Reports, Proceedings, Press Releases, etc.)
- Prepare General Session Opening Ceremonies materials including PowerPoint presentation, brochure, award plaques, and trophies
- Responsible for contracting and invoicing award sponsors
- Responsible for awards web content to web editor
Sponsorship
- Solicit new meetings and awards sponsors and exhibitor and maintain relationships with current sponsors/exhibitors
- Develop sponsorship forms and pricing
- Responsible for contracting and invoicing sponsors
Institutional and Corporate Membership
- Solicit new and renewing Institutional and Corporate Section members and maintain relationships with current members
- Coordinate Institutional and Corporate Section meetings at General Session
- Draft quarterly newsletters to Institutional and Corporate Section Members and website content
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Excellent customer service and oral & written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Display a high level of detail and accuracy
- 2 + years of association experience in process management or sales preferred
- Ability to travel up to 2 times per year
