The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) is the largest and most essential organization for the certification, continuing education, and competency development of nursing professionals who provide care for children, adolescents, and young adults. PNCB is looking for an experienced, full-time, Certification Services Specialist. This position will maintain an in-depth knowledge of PNCB certification programs and services. Provide support to stakeholders, which includes candidates, certificants, and employers, to ensure successful navigation of PNCB programs. This position is a member of the Certification Services Team, which has the overall responsibility of responding to stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties
Carries out the daily directives of the Director of Certification Services to ensure daily program area goals are accomplished.
Responsible for guiding certificants and candidates through the certification and recertification processes.
Processes requests such as verifications, name change applications, address changes, and retirements in a timely and accurate manner.
Assists with monitoring certificant compliance related to recertification policies.
Processes candidate exam applications, including issuing eligibility information and transferring data to test delivery vendors.
Processes exam results, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
Audits exam applications for compliance.
Manages name changes, adding ADA accommodations, verifying exam forms, and exam extensions, and verifying exam appointments have been canceled with PNCB testing vendors.
Participates in the organization's overall quality review process.
Responds to email inquiries on certification and recertification from various public email boxes.
Assists with managing mail and special deliveries to/from the organization, including receiving, posting, and distributing mail, freight, and special deliveries, including UPS and FEDEX. Maintains records as needed.
Responsible for training and cross-training with colleagues to ensure uninterrupted service, quality, and delivery of PNCB products to customers.
Other duties as assigned.
PNCB operates on a hybrid schedule. Staff work in the Rockville, MD office 1 day per week and remotely 4 days per week subject to change based upon organizational needs. Employees are responsible for maintaining a remote environment conducive to conducting business with their own reliable, secure internet. PNCB provides all other equipment.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Email)
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: High school or equivalency required. Associates Degree or Higher Preferred
Minimum Experience: 3 years of certification experience preferred in a similar industry.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
