The Illinois Beverage Association is searching for a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as its Executive Director.
The Illinois Beverage Association (IBA) is the trade association representing the non-alcoholic beverage industry in the state of Illinois. It's members are beverage companies that manufacture and distribute some of the most popular and iconic non-alcoholic beverage brands in the world. The direct economic impact of the non-alcoholic beverage industry in Illinois is more than $12 billion annually.
The IBA and its members face existing and potential legislative and regulatory issues in Illinois. To manage these issues, the Board of Directors seeks Request for Proposals/Request for Qualifications; from interested parties to serve as its dedicated Executive Director.
The Executive Director will report to the IBA Board of Directors and be “the face” of the IBA with policymakers in the state capitol, in local communities with local governments, among aligned industry and business associations, community stakeholders and influencers, and the media. In addition, the Executive Director will ensure the IBA is a neutral forum for members for the discussion of issues impacting the industry and the ability to operate. It will be essential the individual will have and/or will develop an overall understanding of the manufacturing, distribution, and sales processes of the beverage industry, and stay up to date on industry trends.
In consultation and coordination with all IBA members, the Executive Director will lead IBA and develop, drive, and manage a pro-active statewide advocacy and engagement strategy.
Interested parties shall present proposal/qualifications consisting of the following elements:
Resumes/Curriculum Vitae of staff that will engage in work on behalf of IBA.
Proposed approach to accomplishing the scope of work as outlined above (no more than five pages).
Experience accomplishing similar work for other clients (no more than five pages).
List of all former and current clients, including an exhaustive list of former and current clients in the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry.
