The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing day-to-day management and leadership of the Human Resources department. The HR Director responsibilities will include leading and mentoring the HR team to support all aspects of the HR department. Key focus areas include: employee engagement, professional development, recruitment, employee relations, reward and recognition, diversity and inclusion, benefits management, HR systems and annual performance review cycles, as well as any additional services that promote and create a positive employee experience and support ICBA’s culture and values, support and assist the EVP, Chief People Officer with other projects as needed.
Recruitment:
Provide leadership and oversight for all recruitment and new hire activities including building our brand in relevant labor markets, develop talent pipelines, tracking and monitoring the recruitment process, and ensuring a best-in-class onboarding process
Advise leaders on base pay and incentive pay targets and support the negotiation of the final salary for the job offer.
Manage escalations and issues related to New Hire Onboarding
HR Information Systems
Manage and maintain personnel data management system for all employees, serve as the main point of contact for all Ceridian work requests, provide troubleshooting support and create and run reports, as needed
Determine strategies to enhance quantitative and qualitative data collection to inform decisions
Compensation and Talent Management:
Work with Leaders to provide constructive feedback and coaching to employees; assist Leaders with effective management of their teams and instill a culture of feedback and high performance
Assist in development of an employee engagement plan; planning engagement activities that will drive a better culture and fostering increased employee morale
Advise leaders as to base pay and incentive compensation adjustments and reviews
Coach individual staff members on opportunities for development
Enhance and execute on a comprehensive engagement and retention strategy, including regular cadence of check-ins with individuals within assigned business line
Lead the annual compensation planning cycle, providing expert counsel on the design, development and administration of executive, sales, and employee compensation programs, salary structures, and short- and long-term incentives.
Analyze market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of the compensation, benefits and recognition and plans to ensure they optimize ICBA's ability to attract and retain top talent
Benefits/Reward and Recognition:
Provide leadership and direction to the Benefits Manager to effectively evaluate, design, implement, and communicate programs, policies, and initiatives that are in line with ICBA's financial goals and ensure we are able to attract, motivate and retain top talent
Review and analyze data to measure effectiveness, impact and engagement of recognition programs
HR Policies
Remain up to date with HR laws, trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into recommendations to senior management.
10+ years of related experience
Ability to handle daily HR responsibilities while also moving forward strategic initiatives.
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain credibility, trust and rapport with staff at all levels
Demonstrate solid organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
Detailed oriented with an ability to consistently produce high quality work in a fast paced environment
Able to work independently across a broad range of activities and able to drive progress on numerous initiatives at the same time
Able to drive complex actions to completion with minimal support
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS knowledge (Ceridian preferred)
