The American Gas Association is seeking a Senior Director, Finance and Accounting to join our Finance and Accounting team.
The Senior Director will serve as Staff Executive for several member committees and lead a multidisciplinary team to implement enterprise resource planning products and services. This role will partner directly with AGA’s CFO to be a catalyst for process and system integration by embracing a technology vision through a suite of accounting and financial product upgrades with the goal of optimizing team efficiency and producing accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
A successful candidate has at least 7 years of high-level accounting management systems, previous experience implementing large scale ERP accounting systems and project management of financial system consultants and internal resources. Previous experience as a big four auditor or consultant for publicly traded clients is ideal. The ability to travel (when public health conditions permit), and a desire to live and work in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area are critical for this role.

AGA employees currently have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. The incumbent will coordinate their schedule with the CFO’s schedule. The employee’s team determines one day each week, and the employee determines the others. The American Gas Association requires all staff to pass a background check and sign an arbitration agreement as conditions of employment.
