Overview
The Events and Meetings Manager executes and manages all CAPA CME conferences, CME courses, and non-CME events, from planning to execution to on-site logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and/or assist with member meetings and events, including event marketing, distribution, registration, exhibitor relations, on-site set-up and logistics support.
Provide excellent customer service to members on the phone, in-person, and all communications
Confirm and liaise with speakers, venues and all vendors connected to assigned events
Coordinate and monitor conference and event timelines to ensure deadlines are met
Liaise with partner organizations or companies in collaborative events
Assist in creating and editing promotional and marketing materials with Marketing Manager or Executive Director
In collaboration with the Membership Relations Coordinator or other staff, manage event registration to compile accurate registration/attendee data
Aggregate meeting/event evaluation data
Assist in maintaining the CAPA website
Maintain accurate records, information and data on all meetings and events for future reference
Assist the Executive Director, as necessary, including maintenance of technology/equipment, fielding phone calls, and drafting and sending correspondence on their behalf
Perform or assist other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Must have:
a minimum of 1-2 years of professional work experience in meeting/event planning or project management.

strong organizational skills
a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
comfort or desire to work remotely
Preferred:
Live in or desire to move to California
Some experience with databases, association management systems, or learning management systems (or a comfort level with learning and being trained)
