The American Academy of Ophthalmology Is looking for Manager, OPHTHPAC and Congressional Affairs

In collaboration with the Director of Congressional Affairs, develops and implements fundraising strategies to impact federal legislation and advance the strategic goals of the Academy’s legislative agenda.  Lobbies Members of Congress and their staff to advance priorities of the Academy and the practice of ophthalmology. You must have knowledge of the legislative process, Capitol Hill and grassroots advocacy, including compliance issues and grassroots strategies. Knowledge of American politics, political parties, federal election laws and individual congressional races. Knowledge of PAC fundraising, federal election laws, compliance, and fundraising strategies.

Salary: $114,200 - $120,210
