NAED’s Content Manager plays a key role in the planning and execution of the event content strategy. This position develops conference marketing campaigns, research, and presents relevant topics – create content for attendees at NAED Events & webinars in addition to booking keynote speakers and working in conjunction internal and external planning committees and with keynote speakers to create valuable content that engages attendees.
Specific Requirements:
Collaborate with Marketing, Conferences and Technology departments to provide the necessary content information such as, agenda development, session descriptions, brand building, speaker bio & photos and event communications and marketing within the established timelines for each event.
Research and thoroughly understand all NAED products and services, as well as the issues pertinent to the electrical industry. Look for opportunities to tie existing NAED products and services into our event content.
Leverage all of the event content into thought leadership marketing materials like videos, blogs, infographics, and social media, following NAED events.
Negotiate speaker contracts, serve as liaison between speaker/agency and NAED staff up to and during all events.
Assist with negotiating hotel contracts
Manage and participate on committees and task forces to develop and execute strategic action items (Adventure, LEAD, Women in Industry, etc.).
Provide learning opportunities and content management for each event and program, including creation and management of content, securing content leaders & panelists and design of programs and events that provide a balance of programming.
Develop strategies leveraging existing content and access to industry communities to promote events and tradeshows.
Overview and evaluate multiple programs; recommending new formats to enhance the attendees’ experience and implement as directed.
Present a professional image at all times to members and vendors.
Work with marketing department on creation and execution of all aspects of on-site event marketing for NAED conferences.
Complete additional projects/duties as assigned.
Travel required – time will be spent traveling to various events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
5 years of work experience in marketing, communications, content creation, and booking speakers. Creating a theme/essential topics for events, coordinating events Well rounded experience dealing with all levels of people. Creating content and booking speakers for events.
Creative ways to get information to our members for products and events
Thorough understanding of NAED marketing techniques, such as print, email, digital, catalog, brochures, collateral, social media, etc., particularly relating to promotion of meetings and training programs and services.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
Creative visioning to plan and achieve the big picture with the ability to translate those big picture ideas into reality.
Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Ability to think strategically/creatively and juggle multiple assignments driven by deadlines with the ability to be proactive and take calculated risks when indicated.
