We are looking for a Channel Sales Manager to join our team.
The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for managing and improving the margin on current clients’ business, identifying new prospects in selected markets, and converting them, as well as identifying new distribution channels for AHIMA.
The person in this role will accomplish these responsibilities through their ability to sell an identified group of AHIMA products in a consultative manner, negotiate effective and profitable licensing contracts, and implement solutions that address client needs. Current vertical markets are Higher Education and Professional Education.
The ideal candidate has a “hunter & farmer” mindset with the ability to generate revenue opportunities while also developing long-term partner relationships. This person will have a deep understanding of the drivers of channel sales contracts and can deliver value for AHIMA and the partner.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with P&L business leaders (Publications/Content, Professional development & education) and Legal to support overall growth and success.
- Actively identify market growth potential and the channel partners and distribution platforms that support that growth.
- Develop proposed channel partnership strategy in concert with product line stakeholders.
- Share feedback from partner / clients, market trends and competitive analysis to inform our product roadmap and operations.
- Anticipate and help resolve channel conflict issues, troubleshoot, and resolve weekly/quarterly challenges between various AHIMA delivery teams
- Meet revenue for existing book of business through improved business terms / contract renegotiation and upsell and assigned revenue for new channel partners
- Bring in additional AHIMA resources and knowledge to meet revenue targets
- Grow and manage the pipeline for new business and practices pipeline discipline accurately tracking leads/opportunities through the sales cycle until business is closed or lost
- Educate partners about AHIMA’s full suite of products and commercial offerings
- Maintains detailed customer records in AHIMA’s CRM system
- Forecasts monthly sales and pinpoints potential variances
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years’ experience in successfully building and executing a channel sale and/or channel partner strategy and profitable revenue 5+ years’ experience in online learning, content syndication, publishing, or SaaS markets
- Experience in and a strong understanding of the health care industry is a huge plus
- Track record of building long-term partnership with corporations
- Experience entering new markets and building new partnerships, at speed, required
- International experience is a plus
