Summary of Position:
Provide management and oversight of IANA’s HR and Employment services and activities and assist in the development and implementation of company HR policies and procedures. In addition to the primary responsibilities under HR activities, the Human Resources Director will function as a member of lANA's senior staff and work on discrete/finite projects for IANA as needs are identified.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage employee benefits programs and services and monitor for competitiveness, effectiveness, and cost containment.
- Evaluating and recommending specific insurance/benefit programs, in conjunction with IANA’s benefits broker.
- Overseeing insurance/program enrollment and employee benefit changes.
- Support employee relations practices necessary to maintain IANA’s positive employer-employee relationships and continue to promote a high level of employee morale.
- Developing and communicating human resources and other related policies to the employees (verbal written memos, handbook, etc.);
- Overseeing the maintenance and updating of employee files (active employees, terminated employees) including managing confidential employee medical information and files and IANA’s electronic time reporting system.
- Maintain standard recruiting practices and procedures, implementing and executing on an “as needed” basis.
- Identifying staffing and recruiting needs; developing and executing best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Developing specific recruiting strategies for open positions and manage general recruiting functions for open positions.
- Administer time reporting review and approval process and submit bi-weekly payroll.
- Identify and manage in-house training programs that addresses company needs.
- Customizing, developing and facilitating trainings for staff.
- Identifying general and specific training needs for employees.
- Identifying external training resources.
- Providing assistance to managers in identifying appropriate staff training programs and resources.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Developing and implement departmental budget.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior management.
- Monitoring all federal and state regulations/legislation as it applies to HR.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, Master’s degree a plus.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and experience in payroll processing required.
- At least five years of human resource management experience required.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
