Summary/Objective
The Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for driving the vision, operations, revenue, and international payroll learning programs on behalf of the American Payroll Association (APA) and its affiliated companies. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional team members to achieve success in building and executing global payroll curriculum, Chapter Relations, and related strategies. The Director of Strategic Initiatives performs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Develops new business and strategic partnerships; retains current relationships.
- Identifies new business opportunities within the global market space; develops new products and service lines to advance global program offerings not limited to cultural considerations, logistics, currency, and pricing.
- Provides leadership and proposes recommendations that impact the strategic educational and financial direction for global programs.
- Leads the development of annual revenue goals; collaborates with leadership and key stakeholders to develop priorities, strategic plans, and objectives.

- Oversees the Chapter Relations department; ensures deliverables are executed.
- Prepares and monitors budgets using approved financial guidelines, accepted practices, policies, and procedures.
- Prepares and orally delivers Board of Directors reports; produces other reports as required.

- Assist in the development of website content; ensures information is relevant, timely, and accurate.
- Forms payroll industry focus groups to identify relevant global-specific educational programs and services.
Position is currently fully remote; however, and may become hybrid at some point in the future depending on where you live.

- Knowledge of global business strategies.
- Working knowledge of data analyses and interpreting performance metrics to drive strategy.
