The Florida Bankers Association is searching for an Education Director to plan, develop, execute and evaluate the association’s education and training programs across a wide range of banking topics and disciplines.  The director is also responsible for soliciting and securing sponsorships as needed to meet and increase revenue goals.  The Education Director will report to the EVP/COO and  be responsible for managing hotel contracts for events, coordinating committee meetings/conference calls with association members throughout the state; planning education content; securing speakers; evaluating events; attending and overseeing education events; managing education staff members; planning and maintaining a budget; and, increasing revenue through successful events. 

Successful candidates must be self-motivated, highly organized, and possess the ability to plan and develop multiple programs simultaneously.  Knowledge of the banking or financial services industry is extremely helpful.  Serves as staff liaison to the FBA Education Council.  Overnight travel is required and estimated at 50-70 nights annually; position based in Tallahassee, FL.

Minimum requirements include:

• a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business, education/training or related field;
• 10 or more years’ experience in successful program planning, development and execution, preferably in a non-profit association setting;
• Very high interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel
• Proficiency using a database, social media and mass communication platforms
