PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to design, develop, and support ACHE applications, sites and systems that serve our members, customers, and co-workers.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the design, development and support of web-based applications, sites and systems that enable ACHE business operations for members, customers, and co-workers. This position utilizes contemporary software engineering tools and techniques to ensure that applications, sites, and systems meet quality standards in a manner that is both extensible and scalable.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Technical Activities 40% of Time
- Monitor performance to ensure that applications, sites and systems are available and fully functional. Responsibility includes troubleshooting problems with pages and scripts using Cold Fusion, ASP.NET, HTML5 (JAVASCRIPT, CSS, T-SQL) and XML. Additional development with .NET and C#. Includes integration of ache.org with ACHE information systems including NetForum Enterprise AMS.
- Provides support to ACHE affiliates in their use of ache.org and other online resources.
- Project Activities 50% of Time
- Develops new features and technical enhancements in order to improve and update the performance of applications, sites and systems in accordance with ACHE’s performance objectives.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture and evaluate requirements, understand current business practices and system capabilities, determine operational objectives, consider alternatives, and establish solution approach and corresponding timelines.
- Defines project, prepares preliminary plan, performs operational issues and risk analysis, and prepares a formal plan for review and approval.
- Provides technical support and performs project control functions throughout project.
- Deliver on projects in accordance with project plans including budget, timeline, deliverables, and quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years technical experience in Web site support and development utilizing technologies described in the Job Functions section above.
- Background in Information Technology and/or computer science.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong customer service orientation.
- Must have strong team orientation.
- Must have good time management and organization skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess sound judgment, discretion and a high degree of professionalism.
- Must have regular and predictable attendance.
