Summary
Provides administrative support for activities of the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research (FPTR), an affiliate of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). All staff of FPTR are employed by APTA and adhere to all APTA policies and procedures.
This position will provide timely and accurate entry of all FPTR donations and processing, database management, data integrity, compliance, list requisitions and management, and overall office support. Seeks out and supports opportunities for the effectiveness and productivity of office operations and high-quality work standards. Effective champion of APTA’s and FPTR’s vision, mission, and goals; and the Association’s brand. Reports to the FPTR Senior Specialist for Development and will work collaboratively with the FPTR team.
Essential Functions
- Provides administrative support for the implementation of work plans related to respective activities of the FPTR which align with organizational priorities and business strategy, including (but not limited to) processing donations and transactions; list requests and list management and reports; and event registration.
- Prepares required compliance forms and documents as required including, when applicable and appropriate, tax letters and thank you letters; and entering accurate information for timely submission of all required documents.
- Provides support of the Foundation’s operations, including opportunities to advance and gain efficiencies.
- Supports the FPTR team in the implementation of the programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with the Association and staff colleagues
- Prepares, in consultation with the Director, data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelors preferred
- 2+ years of experience working in a non-profit or business setting
- Solid administrative skills
- Database experience and expertise; knowledge of Raiser's Edge a plus
- Proficiency in data gathering, organization and analysis
- Must be highly organized; experienced in handling a variety of projects with proven abilities in prioritizing deadlines and seeing projects to completion
- Excellent proofreading skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team
- Excellent and effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Must be proficient in MS Office and web-based applications
