About the Role and Opportunity
The Data Center Coalition (DCC) is growing! The Membership and Community Engagement Manager will be a hard-working and ambitious candidate to build and craft DCC as we continue to scale from a startup to a national organization driving strong advocacy, outreach, and community empowerment efforts on behalf of the data center industry. This position will work collaboratively with and report to DCC’s President.
In this position, you will work closely with members, support DCC committees and workgroups, and ensure members are informed of the organization’s broad scope of activities and initiatives through regular e-mail, e-newsletter, and other communications while assisting in social media outreach.
Responsibilities
- Supports DCC’s Community Engagement Committee and helps drive various committee-led community and charitable initiatives. This includes budget responsibility and event planning.
- Maintains member committee, workgroup, and other rosters and distribution lists.
- Regularly interacts with members and leads outreach and communications to keep members informed of the organization’s broad scope of activities and initiatives through regular e-mail, e-Newsletter, etc.
- Organizes, schedules, and coordinates committee meetings, workgroup meetings, and other member meetings.
- Produces meeting minutes and summaries for Board of Directors meetings and committee and workgroup meetings.
- Develops graphics and messaging to support social media efforts.
- Manages website content.
- Assists in crafting PowerPoint slides and presentations.
- Represents DCC at meetings and events as required.
- Occasional travel may be required
Basic Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have:
- Extraordinary organizational skills and be detail-oriented
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to lead multiple projects in various stages
- Comfort working both collaboratively and independently
- Savvy in learning about policy issues and impacts and producing general and concise summaries articulating public policy issues and impacts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Product Suite, Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to work collaboratively with data center leaders in a variety of critical roles including executive, technical, policy, economic development, and marketing and communications
- A desire to help build an organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of trade association or chamber of commerce experience in a similar role
- Experience with Constant Contact or similar eNewsletter platforms
- Proficiency and experience supporting social media platforms using organizational or corporate accounts
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
