The American Urological Association (AUA), the premier urologic association providing support to the urologic community, is currently searching for a Patient Education Project Manager. This position is temporarily remote and will have the possibility to telecommute up to 3 days a week.
This position is responsible for the overall execution of patient education strategy and grant deliverables. With the Senior Corporate & Patient Education Senior Manager, the Project Manager will also be responsible for day-to-day logistics management of the Patient Education Council and its related Committees.
The individual in this position (see position description attachment for all responsibilities):
Implements patient education strategies and tactics for the Foundation.
Ensures all grant/sponsorship deliverables are met and provide support in the grant/sponsorship development phase.
Manages day-to-day logistics of the Patient Education Council and its related Committees.
Oversees the work of the Outreach Coordinator, including providing direction, setting goals, reviewing performance and other supervisory responsibilities.
Oversees patient education outreach to the urologic community.
Assist in the development of the Foundation’s award-winning quarterly patient magazine, UrologyHealth extra.
Liaise with freelance writers, illustrators, doctors, etc. to ensure timely and accurate development of patient education materials.
Assist in writing, editing and coordinating production and distribution of patient education materials.
Manage Foundation exhibiting at relevant meetings (annual meeting, section, other industry related meetings).

To be Successful
Candidate requirements are as follows:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, social services, communications or related field.
3-5 years of experience in the development and management of education materials. Experience with patient education materials a plus
Proven project management experience
Ability to successfully multi-task and work on a variety of projects simultaneously with varying resources, scope and deadlines
Acumen to work with a governing board, volunteers, individual subject matter experts and other education leaders
Excellent written, oral communication and relationship building skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills critical
Word, Excel, Power Point and database high proficiency required
