The Financial Services Institute (FSI), the leading trade organization for independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors, is hiring a Database Coordinator in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This is a fully remote, entry-level position, with a potential for in-person staff events in Washington, D.C. in the future, as well as occasional travel to conferences.
FSI is searching for individuals with proven and effective organizational and time management skills; solid verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to take initiative. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team. Strong phone and customer service skills are required. Prior data entry experience is preferred.
Essential functions of the position include:
Performing database functions in support of the organization, including updating membership addresses, member types, and other demographic information.
Creating, updating, and refining and distributing database reports using Microsoft CRM as required, including CRM standard operating procedures.
Answering FSI’s main and secondary phone lines and transfer calls to appropriate staff as necessary. Managing all phone inquiries from members.
Assist with online conference registration as required.
Performing other duties as may be assigned.
