The Forest Resources Association (FRA) is seeking an experienced, energetic, and creative Communications and Marketing Specialist. Responsible for developing collateral and communications to support the work of the association delivering value to membership, supporting growth and retention, and marketing opportunities that will advance the organization and elevate the FRA brand. Working collaboratively with the policy advocacy team to effectively develop grassroots and educational communications to engage membership. Being a successful team member willing to support necessary administrative duties and priorities as they arise.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop accurate and high-quality communications to advance FRA’s mission and advocacy efforts while growing our visibility and elevating our brand.
Source informative and educational content for members and deliver through website, social media, and email.
Coordinate FRA communications to include developing the Quarterly Review, aggregating the quarterly Technical Release and Safety Alert publication, and contributing to the association Annual Report
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive conversion of prospective members, and retention and engagement of existing members.
Conduct tracking, reporting, and analysis of results from marketing and communications projects.
Administer FRA website.
Manage FRA webinar series to include marketing, hosting, and post-webinar editing.
Manage and maintain membership database and email distribution lists.
Create and manage event registration pages for regional and national meetings.
Administrative support to FRA President and Director of Operations.
In-person support for National Annual Meeting and Fall Board Meeting, and biennial Legislative Fly-In, to include maintaining Congressional/facilities directory and assisting in Congressional meeting scheduling.
Organizational support for office operations.
Other activities as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Ability to produce high-quality content for social media, blogs, newsletters, emails, and other association publications
Strong knowledge of social media, SEO, and content strategy
Experience with association management databases such as iMIS preferred.
Familiarity with WordPress, Joomla, or similar CMS preferred.
Proactive, with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong project management and planning skills.
