The Conferences & Events (C&E) department supports the Council’s position as an industry thought leader and admissions expert by convening schools to discuss global and regional industry issues, delivering skills training, and sharing research-based knowledge and information.
The Coordinator, Conferences & Events supports the planning and delivery of all GMAC programs and events and is responsible for delivering fast and sustainable results in the following primary areas:
Registration and customer care;
Event communication and marketing logistics;
Exhibit and sponsorship deliverable execution;
Event logistics for both in-person and virtual; and
Administrative support for the Conferences & Events team.
Project management for C&E initiatives, including planning and oversight of project and events timelines.
Facilitate registration processes for all events, including building of online registration systems, liaising with accounting and finance to track payments and liaising with governance on matters related to member conference attendance.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer service for event registration, including implementing customer care processes, monitoring registration, and checking requirements for event attendance.
Facilitate logistics for virtual discussion forums and webinars for registration, attendee communications, event execution and post event evaluation.
Provide logistic support for the execution of marketing and promotional plans for C&E programs and events, including managing timelines and production of program collateral material.
Execute plans for event logistics including meeting planning, facility liaison, shipping, and onsite registration set up.
Execute plans for onsite attendee engagement, including conference app building and maintenance, gamification and app usage, monitoring and reporting.
Prepare post event evaluations and report results.
Act as the primary point of contact for exhibit and sponsorship deliverable management including registration payment and processing, booth logistics, exhibitor communication, and onsite exhibitor services.
Maintenance of C&E webpages, including updating content, managing timelines, and contractors as needed.
Execute logistics for Key partnership and strategic alliances’ engagement including logging MOUs, payments and tracking of agreements, and maintenance of templates that can be leveraged for regional partnerships.
In collaboration with regions and other GMAC stakeholders, coordinate logistics for partner events supported/enabled by School and Industry Engagement including but not limited to booth production, pre/post event communication, and the identification and shipment of collateral/resources needed for field presence.
Process payment invoices, contract and record maintenance, travel reimbursements and other administrative support as needed.
Master the use and integration of internal systems, including CRM, GDAT, C-Vent, Trello, SharePoint and PowerBI, WebEx, Zoom, etc.

1 year of work experience in general office environment; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
Great organizational skills, ability to multitask, and pay close attention to detail.
Ability to work independently using standard policies and pre-established processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated writing skills for business and Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to multitask under pressure with poise/confidence.
Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, to support event execution as needed; Average of 30 days travel annually.
