The Urgent Care Association, the largest trade and professional association representing the urgent care industry, is recruiting a Development Manager to play a key role in maintaining and increasing revenue by generating support to advance the organization’s mission.
Reporting to the Chief Governmental Affairs Officer, the Development Manager is responsible for managing and cultivating key relationships with corporate donors, managing highly visible special events, programs and projects, and building sustainable long-term development strategies for both the Urgent Care Association and its 501(c)(3) affiliate, the Urgent Care Foundation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Serves as the lead relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of corporate donors. Leads related solicitation, stewardship, and communication activities. The Manager’s portfolio will be geared toward donors contributing six to seven figures annually.
Collaborates with colleagues to develop customized and effective grant proposals, campaigns and stewardship strategies and to ensure effective execution of grant deliverables.
Leads donor solicitation and management of revenue and expenses for special projects and events including: Annual Gala and After Party, conferences, symposia, and other events.
Implements a strategy to broaden donor relationships including C-suite leadership engagement, in-kind support, awareness and advocacy.
Understands relationship management strategies and works closely with members by supporting high profile leadership committees and boards.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills and ability to write proposals, correspondence and reports independently.
Five plus years of fundraising or related experience preferably in a trade association or national non-profit setting;
Demonstrated ability to solicit, secure and cultivate philanthropic gifts including event sponsorship;
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills…sense of humor major plus!;
A collaborative mindset and ability to engage multiple stakeholders including association members, staff and all levels of corporate leadership;
Can manage, motivate and navigate multiple initiatives simultaneously;
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising systems highly desired;
Travel 2-3 times per year.
Telecommuting is allowed.
