AABB is looking for an experienced professional who will direct and oversee management of the Accreditation Program, and the Accreditation and Quality Department. Manage staff in the provision of education and information about the accreditation process, quality system principles to Association members and non-members (both individual and institutional). Additionally, Senior Directors at AABB are responsible for the primary oversight of a prime vertical market/offering; a significant budget (revenues and/or expenses); and are assigned additional significant projects/initiatives. About the Role - Serve as the AABB National Office resource for all quality system-related issues and questions and provide technical expertise to staff.
- Oversee the management of the development, implementation, revision, and maintenance of the Accreditation Program, to include maintenance of the computer system.
- Supervise administrative and technical department staff, both in-house and remote.
- Provide consultation for accreditation program policy, issues or practices to both staff and volunteer assessors during and after regular business hours.
- Provide information as requested to the public regarding accredited facilities.
- Manage the Accreditation Program’s [AP] QA program by: i) developing and providing training for AP Assessors, ii) coordinating efforts to continuously enhance and improve the value of the Accreditation process, and iii) directing the process to ensure competent assessors, to include management of assessor records and performance.
- Identify process improvements to the accreditation program and any other program or member service provided to AABB members, both individual and institutional. Develop and implement possible solution alternatives.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain the annual budget for the Accreditation and Quality Department and assigned subaccounts, and operate within budgetary constraints.
- Provide timely and accurate support to assigned committees and program units.
- Coordinate and manage the cooperative efforts with CAP, The Joint Commission and other accrediting organizations.
- Manage the CAP coordinated assessment program, including travel reimbursement from CA
- Prepare accreditation program status reports for the Board of Directors.
- Participate on Project Teams, providing quality expertise and technical assistance.
- Develop and manage the AABB office Quality Program Committee and Quality Plan.
- Perform assessments as needed.
- Develop and deliver formal presentations to assessors, members and other organizations.
- Serve as the National Office Quality Committee Chair.
