An international non-profit organization is seeking an Assistant Accountant. Under the direction of the Finance Director, this part time position will perform a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties. Desired individual will have an associate degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience; proficiency with accounting software and Excel; and excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
This position is with a medical organization with a professional, dedicated board and a small staff. We are seeking a person who works well independently but is also team-oriented. This person should be flexible, enjoy problem-solving, and is detail oriented. This position is entirely remote and would require approximately 10-15 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of day to day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation
Process and pay all invoices in a timely manner
Reconcile revenue with the member database and credit card processors
Manage journal subscriptions and inquiries
Execute payroll activities using a 3rd party payroll service provider
Maintain accounting procedures, policies, and systems of internal controls to ensure the integrity of all financial systems
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports
Telecommuting is allowed.
