The Valve Manufacturers Association has a new opportunity for an energetic and creative marketing and communications professional. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team-player that takes pride in making a significant contribution to the organization and seeing the successful results of their work come to fruition. This is newly created position that reports to the President, and is responsible for leading VMA’s internal and external marketing and communications efforts across all areas – events, education, publications, membership and more. Duties: - Successfully communicate and market VMA’s brand and value proposition to the industry, with the goals to maintain and increase membership, and grow non-dues revenue through events, education, and other products and services.
- Create, propose, and manage budgets and goals for all marketing and communication activities.
- Provide leadership to staff and various contractors and vendors to produce VALVE Magazine brand products, the VMA website, and other VMA publications and marketing & communications products.
- Oversee one direct report and work as a team member with other staff, members, and vendors or contractors.
- Develop, write and manage member communications, including eNewsletters, videos, annual reports, etc. Serves as editor for all e-Newsletters, website and publications.
- Develop and manage print, video, digital media and social media marketing strategy for events, education and membership. Work with vendors and staff to executive campaigns with successful results.
- Write, design and create print & digital content.
- Write and distribute press releases and manage media relations.
- Develop and analyze measures and reports to understand results and make changes as needed.
- Manage VMA’s digital presence.
- Oversee the management of VMA’s membership and marketing database.
- Work with other organizations to develop mutually beneficial marketing opportunities.
- Act as the staff liaison for the Communications and Marketing Committee, and the VALVE Magazine Brand Editorial Board. Provide staff support to other committees as needed.
