The Member Services Coordinator provides support to the Director of Membership and Advocacy to ensure the effectiveness of the Membership Department. Job functions include database and invoicing management; member recruitment, enrollment, and retention; membership customer service; membership marketing, and member benefit development; member engagement programs and initiatives. He or she will also play a leading role cultivating multifaceted member relationships in one or more regions, including direct member services, recruitment, events, advocacy and partnerships with related organizations.
National Membership Responsibilities
Responsible for dues renewal process, new member follow-up, recruitment of prospective members and outreach to past due members.
Assist in the development and implementation of member services and recruitment campaigns, including related collateral.
Ensure high quality records management and customer service for existing and prospective members.
Generates membership data reports.
First responder to Priority Member email inquiries and website issues.
Manage online member forum.
Works with call center team for delivery of exemplary customer service, complaint resolution, member requests and prospect calls.
Potential travel to conferences to assist with conference management and network with members and prospects.
Keeps abreast of industry issues utilizing trade journals and other appropriate media.
Qualifications: We are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills and database experience who can provide excellent customer service and interact at all levels of the association.
2 – 4 years of office experience, with some experience in associations, membership, fundraising, advocacy or sales.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to communicate with a wide variety of people including staff, board members and industry partners.
Excellent phone skills with the dedication to make numerous outbound sales calls over the course of a day.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and web-based customer relations management systems.
Experience developing attractive documents and web content a plus.
Ability to be flexible, multi-task and manage own time and priorities to achieve membership department goals.
Customer service oriented, self-starter, quick learner, can-do attitude and friendly.
