Job Title: Project Manager, Special Projects
Reports to: Director, Educational Strategy and Special Projects
Job Summary: Is accountable for carrying out an assigned ASHP work project. Has responsibility for recommending and selecting the most effective methods and protocol to use in the delivery of ASHP projects. Responsible for the development and execution of projects for the Office of Professional Development. Specific areas of responsibility include: development and coordination of educational activities and materials and serving as a liaison with program faculty and stakeholders for selected activities.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines work priorities, policies, and operating procedures.
Interacts with others to advise on and facilitate the execution of ASHP’s programmatic and operational initiatives.
Develops and manages special projects as assigned, including professional certificate programs and other educational initiatives for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
Manages internal processes to ensure operational aspects of program development are organized in a timely, efficient, and fiscally responsible manner.
Develops and manages relationships regarding professional/educational development programs via timely written, electronic and oral communication with program faculty and key stakeholders. Coordinates with staff and contractors to ensure project deadlines are met in an efficient, timely, and fiscally responsible manner.
Designs, creates, and reviews all supporting materials for program implementation and promotion ensuring accuracy and completeness. Materials include but are not limited to online applications, websites, post cards, email promotions, print advertisements, resource handouts, presentation materials, online surveys, and additional collateral materials.
Plans and executes field testing process for professional certificate programs or other educational endeavors.
Submits all paperwork and maintains project files to ensure all required documentation is readily accessible in compliance with ASHP procedures and requirements of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and other applicable accrediting bodies.
Manages all aspects of faculty recordings and editing, ensuring a high quality output for learners and positive experience for faculty.
Provides onsite meeting management service for live activities and other projects as assigned/requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires a minimum of a degree plus a working knowledge of the theories and principles of a relevant field or discipline in pharmacy, business, or association management.
Requires a minimum of five years of prior related work experience.
Minimum two-five years’ experience in medical education project management is a strong plus.
Experience in adult education and accreditation standards for healthcare professionals is a strong plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
Strong customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to establish and work from a home-based office.
Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
