The Membership Coordinator is responsible for membership inquires and processing payments for renewing members. In addition, the Coordinator also manages all member inquires that are delivered via phone or email and works to ensure that all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner. The Membership Coordinator searches for data to ensure the integrity of the database.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary contact for all membership related phone calls
Assist with login issues
Manages the email membership and info box
Contact lapsed members to reactive their membership
Responsible for database updates/mailing lists to include:
Update member emails submitted via website profile page; run weekly query
Member/non-member contact information, including resetting temporary passwords
Adhering to data standards to protect the integrity of the database
Run mailing lists for all departments upon request
Membership Renewal Invoices and Refunds:
Assists Director with the annual member renewal billing cycle process
Manages the printing and mailing of renewal invoices 4 times a year
Prepares and mails membership invoices or receipts upon request
Process dues payments
Assist Manager with member retention and recruitment mailings
Assist department with coordination and layout of the Committee in Action Booklet for AM
Admin Support to department and other departments as needed
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will consider non-degreed candidates with equivalent work experience. Minimum two (2) years of successful demonstrated work experience in an association and member relations experience position required.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requires self-motivation, attentiveness to details, exceptional organizational skills and capacity to identify, implement, monitor and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
This is an in-office position with 9:00 - 5:00 work hours.
