AMT seeks a learning and development professional to join the Education team as an Instructional Designer. This position is primarily responsible for the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of AMT continuing education courses. This includes creating and maintaining eLearning; instructor-led and blended courses; audio and video components; and other resources for allied health audiences.
Responsible for the full learning cycle of course and curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation.
Perform needs analysis to determine necessity and the best method of delivery.
Work with Subject Matter Expert’s (SME) to develop content.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, test questions, and audio scripts/video scripts.
Design instructionally sound materials for participants and facilitators.
Create and review initial design documents.
Obtain sign-off on all materials from SMEs and project owner.
Arrange and assist in testing of all new materials.
Learning solutions include eLearning, ILT, blended learning, online job aids, and other innovative knowledge transfer methods.
Manage evaluation strategy, report out on learning feedback and results, and other post course components as appropriate.
Periodically build and test learning components in LMS and/or enroll individuals or groups of users into courses.
Degree in instructional design, e-learning, adult learning, educational technology, or other related degree. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years related experience.
Deep understanding of design and development principles, best practices, learning theories, and how they vary depending on delivery method.
