Overall Description: The Member Services Manager works directly with the Executive Vice President/CEO, interfacing regularly with the Board of Directors and members on a variety of issues. The successful candidate must represent the Association in a professional manner. Exercising good judgement and initiative with minimal supervision are essential personal characteristics. This position has a wide variety of responsibilities including, but is not limited to: • Meeting planning - various events throughout the year • Annual convention & trade show planning • Communications, marketing, and publications • Social media presence & website development/maintenance • Working with members to resolve issues • Oversee scholarship program Specifics: Education and Event Management • Determine topics for meetings/events and select speakers • Plan, promote, and coordinate various educational seminars and meetings • Plan, promote, implement and evaluate annual convention and trade show • Solicit contributions and sponsorships for educational events and annual convention Communications & Member Benefits • Design flyers and brochures and other promotional materials for various programs • Write copy for news releases, brochures and Newsletter and assist with layout as needed • Maintain and update the Association website and social media presence • Coordinate with other staff members on the preparation of various publications Scholarship Program • Plan and promote fund raising activities for the scholarship program and work with the scholarship committee on the selection of scholarship winners • Oversee placement of scholarship winners with member facilities • Plan and coordinate 3-day industry tour for scholarship winners Governmental Affairs and Issues Management • Work with issues management – working to understand industry problems, explore various solutions and suggest possible best solution • Assist the Executive Vice President in responding promptly to inquiries, correspondence, and development of solutions as needed • Provide assistance in lobbying and governmental affairs as needed Related Areas • Attend Board Meetings to report on activities • Serve as staff liaison with various association committees • Assist Executive Vice President or other staff when requested |
