The Education Director’s primary responsibilities are to strategically work on the identification, development, and evaluation of the education programs for the membership. Provides guidance, vision, leadership, and management to the education department and Board of Trustees (BOT).
Oversees the development and management of continuing education for the Annual Conference, District Meetings, stand-alone courses, online education and other joint sponsored organizations.
Monitors, maintains, and adheres to the compliance standards of AGD PACE and ADA CERP for all CE programs.
Analyzes needs assessment data and program evaluations to identify educational learning gaps as they relate to the strategic plan.
Develops and manages the Annual Conference and education budgets.
Serves as subject matter expert for cutting edge education initiatives, design, and learning formats.
Provides leadership and direction for the education and meetings department team by communicating a strategic vision, establishing effective planning, budgeting, and maintaining an efficient organizational structure.
Works in conjunction with the Meetings Manager to identify education placement for programs.
Collaborates with the marketing and communication team on content marketing strategies for all continuing education offerings.
Identifies process inefficiencies (policies, procedures etc.) and recommends and implements solutions.
Liaises with Education Oversight Committee, MaxiCourse Committee, task forces, and Board of Directors on educational programs.
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required
At least 7 years of relevant work experience, with 3 years in a senior staff position
Experience in developing educational programs for adult education, live learning, online, hands-on workshop, and other distance learning initiatives
Experience working with healthcare education; knowledge of ADA CERP or AGD PACE preferred
Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork, organizing teams, and volunteer involvement
Proven ability to manage a large budget
Supervise a team of four (two managers and two coordinators)
Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects/priorities
Strong customer orientation and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
Proficiency with CadmiumCD, Survey Monkey Apply, Zoom preferred
