As the Director of Digital and Print Media, you will manage multi-channel media communications for contract management professionals. In this role, you will oversee our integrated media (website, video, and print) communications and develop strategies to highlight the thought leadership of our association staff and members through blogging and social media. You will oversee production of our award-winning Contract Management Magazine and manage publication of our Journal of Contract Management, the Contract Management Salary Survey, our website, video production, e-books, and other member print and online products as needed. Your team will include our magazine’s Senior Editor and contract support for creative services, printers, editing, and other needed services.
You will work closely with our Chief Professional Development Officer to integrate editorial content with NCMA professional development products and events, expanding the audience for our thought leadership. Working with a volunteer editorial advisory board, you will develop an annual editorial calendar and content focus. Consulting with other departments, you will integrate their strategic goals into a comprehensive communications plan for the organization, providing a unified voice for contract management professionals and expanding our influence. By creating and managing our social media presence, you will enhance member and public engagement through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

Responsibilities of the Director of Digital and Print Media
Set the vision and strategic direction for NCMA’s digital and print products.
Work with content creators (videographers, writers, etc.) to develop brand-aligned, relevant, high-impact content that connects print and digital mediums.
Supervise the Contract Management Magazine editor.
Work with Editorial Advisory Boards to develop annual editorial calendar and content focus.
Work with other departments to contribute to an integrated, planned approach to communications with our members and customers.
In coordination with the Chief Professional Development Officer, integrate editorial content with NCMA professional development products and events.
Provide editorial expertise and guidance for other NCMA departments.
Develop and execute contracts and manage vender relations.
Communicate with the sales team regarding the editorial calendar, advertising strategy, and new revenue opportunities.
Prepare and manage resources according to departmental budgets.
Stay informed of emerging trends in print and digital technology that can affect departmental effectiveness and impact member experience.
Responsible for onsite daily e-newsletters at NCMA conferences.
Qualifications of the Director of Digital and Print Media
Extensive experience in digital media production and demonstrated familiarity with digital media opportunities and challenges.
Demonstrated understanding of new and emerging digital technologies, to include online content strategy and eBook development.
A minimum of five years of editorial/print publications experience and a minimum of three years of management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism, English, or equivalent. Master’s degree a plus.
Ability to work and communicate with staff, board members, and VIPs.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and coaching skills, and willingness to delegate.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
