We are seeking someone who is high-energy, a fast learner and an experienced, independent contributor, to join a growing sales team. This position will be challenged to uncover opportunities within an established sales territory and hunt for new prospects in a fast-paced, cross-departmental environment.
You will be responsible for building relationships, filling your pipeline and closing deals to exceed budgets for exhibits, membership, advertising, sponsorships and more. While there are established events and programs to sell, you will be asked to come up with creative solutions and packages to fit your clients’ needs. Success relies on the ability to understand your clients’ goals and connect the dots to how AUVSI can best solve their challenges in our evolving industry.

Confidence selling over the phone and in-person from entry-level to C-Suite
Expert listener that can hear the customers’ needs, understand and connect with solutions
Ability to paint with words, both written and spoken, a vision that earns clients’ confidence and buy-in
Experience with selling a multitude of products/programs concurrently; creating value-added bundles as appropriate
Capacity to think creatively and grow product set beyond traditional offerings
Experience with writing proposals that sell the client and their team on a vision
Strong written and verbal skills, including a firm grasp of tone, audience, and clarity
Strong experience with business basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with or willing to learn new applications such as event management and email distribution applications (e.g., a2z, Salesforce, NetForum)
Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 - 5 years of sales experience (exhibit space, sponsorship or advertising sales is helpful)
