The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) seeks an experienced and eager team member to fill an essential support role within the ISSCR global meetings department. The Event Services Coordinator position fulfills data, administrative and customer service functions for the 4,000 attendee ISSCR annual meeting as well as several smaller meetings. Key responsibilities include coordination of the abstract submission and presentation processes; administrative support for sponsors and exhibitors and other customer support roles as necessary. This position reports to the Director of Global Events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement the online abstract submission system for the ISSCR annual meeting, including all customer service assistance for a global delegation of abstract submitters.
Organize poster sessions for the annual meeting including pre-meeting poster presenter correspondence, reporting and on-site coordination
Facilitate the travel awards program and the poster awards program for the annual meeting
Enter data and facilitate reporting through abstract and meetings management software
Update information on the ISSCR meetings websites
Assist with coordination of exhibit booth assignments
Provide customer service support to exhibitors and sponsors
Assist with oversight of exhibitor and sponsor communications and other projects as necessary
Assist with the facilitation of fulfillment deliverables for exhibitors and sponsors
Update and maintain the events management software and supporting documentation specific to exhibits and sponsorships
Skills and qualifications required:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an association/non-profit or similar working environment
Experience working in a customer service support position
Aptitude in MS Office Suite and Office 365, with strong competency in Excel
Proficiency in software platforms and databases including data entry and reporting functions
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
Detail-oriented and ability to meet project timelines/deadlines
Ability to work effectively in team scenarios
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Availability for limited annual international travel
Experience with iMIS, Aventri and CadmiumCD or other event management software platform products a plus
Experience with associations a plus
