St. Louis REALTORS® is an 8,000 member not-for-profit trade association located in St. Louis, Missouri. Under the direction of the Chief Staff Executive (CSE) the Manager of Commercial Services researches, plans, organizes, establishes and executes commercial services to promote the initiatives of the St. Louis Commercial Division. This individual is responsible for overseeing the organization’s Commercial Information Exchange (CIE) powered by Catylist and offered on a subscription basis by St. Louis Commercial Data Services (STLCDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the organization. This individual also acts as the administrator for the St. Louis CCIM Chapter and manages all of its affairs.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Chief Staff Executive (CSE) the Manager of Commercial Services researches, plans, organizes, establishes and executes commercial services to promote the initiatives of the St. Louis REALTORS® Commercial Division. This individual is responsible for the general administration, operations and day-to-day activities of the Commercial Division of St. Louis REALTORS® and St. Louis Commercial Data Services (STLCDS); including financial oversight, secretarial support, membership development, communication, dues collections and the maintaining of membership files. This individual also works in collaboration with the CSE and the President and Board of Directors of the Commercial Division and Board of Directors of STLCDS to ensure the implementation of policies and programs as approved. Through an agreement between St. Louis REALTORS® and the St. Louis CCIM Chapter this individual also manages the affairs of the St. Louis CCIM Chapter. This individual oversees the operation of the CIE which is powered by Catylist and is a subscription-based service of STLCDS.
Make decisions to further the mission of the Commercial Division within their area of responsibility
Monitor industry news, trends, and emerging technologies to produce reports, publications, stories and information for use by the Commercial Division members and external customers
Identify and cultivate relationships with non-member commercial brokerages and related real estate professionals in an effort to convert them as members of the organization and subscribers of its CIE
Collaborate with government affairs department in an effort to further the economic development strategies of the
Collaborate with and assist the Professional Development Department in an effort to deliver exceptional educational opportunities for our commercial members.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Department to create engaging communications geared specifically to the unique interest of our commercial members.
Create and oversee comprehensive list of industry resources, directories, and technology tools for inclusion on commercial section of the website; establish the site as a destination for new as well as seasoned professionals, REALTOR® and non-REALTOR®.
Identify opportunities to connect with NAR commercial staff and fellow local REALTOR® associations to build/maintain relationships with commercial staff and improve communication on shared best practices
Identify and implement opportunities for non-dues revenue generation
Research and apply for grants offered by the National Association of REALTORS®
Work with CFO to develop the yearly budget for the Commercial Division and monitor for compliance
Plan, organize and coordinate quarterly Commercial Division events, such as, the Annual Commercial Installation and the Heavy Hitter’s Awards program
Provide assistance to the CEO in his or her oversight of the yearly commercial election process of the Commercial Board of Directors (e.g., gathering biography of candidates, ballots, mailings, etc.)
Collaborate with Coordinator of Sponsorship and Events to develop Commercial Division sponsorship program
Work with the Membership Department to ensure a seamless handling of all inquiries related to the Commercial Division membership and CIE onboarding and related policy questions
Attend regular staff and managers meetings and monthly board meetings for St. Louis REALTORS®
Manage all business meetings of the Commercial Division and STLCDS, including the creation and dissemination of agendas, meeting notices and minutes
Oversee the operations of the CIE
Serve as Chapter Administrator for St. Louis CCIM Chapter which shall include duties such as the maintenance of chapter files, changes to CCIM website, coordination of chapter programs, education courses and seminars, annual dues billing, meeting management for monthly board of director meetings and preparation of CCIM annual budget
Other duties as assigned and/or required
Previous professional experience in REALTOR® or association trade groups or membership organizations preferred.
Bachelor's degree in a complimentary field of study is preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience) and a minimum of three (3) years relative workplace experience
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, particularly the ability to read, analyze, write, edit reports according to prescribed style/format and correspond with members
A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence and monitor meeting protocol
Self-starter, able to work independently and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
Excellent computer skills and experience with standard business software (e.g., powerpoint, excel, word, publisher)
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups ofmanagers, peers, volunteers customers and the general public
Ability to meet deadlines, as well as the ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, reason and solve problems
