Provides administrative support for office operations and the membership department. Responsible for managing the front desk, including answering phones, greeting visitors, ordering office supplies and managing incoming and outgoing mail. Responsible for responding to membership inquiries, making outbound calls to new and renewing members, and keeping data in the AMS current and accurate.
Maintain reception area and serve as the primary staff responsible for answering the phones.
Sort and distribute incoming mail. Process return mail and update contacts in the database.
Monitor and order office supplies.
Process PlanetLaundry magazine subscriptions.
Manage vendor listings in magazine and online buyer’s guide.
Provide LaundryCares Foundation partners with info on member stores for events.
Process and ship orders for products sold in the online store.
Ship materials for CLA events.
Fulfill other administration duties as assigned by Director of Membership & Section Relations.
Respond to member inquiries via phone or email. Direct to appropriate staff if necessary.
Perform outbound calls to new and renewing members. Confirm contact information and track calls in database.
Uphold quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy of member and prospect records.
Reach out to organizational members on a regular basis to verify employees and their contact information.
Input data from CLA Insurance and other vendors to track member data and activity.
Mail out monthly membership invoices.
Manage membership questions that come through the online “contact us” form.
Fulfill other membership duties as assigned by Director of Membership & Section Relations.
Three to five years’ work experience in related field; association experience preferred. Experience in member relations and timely customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Fonteva or another Association Management software preferred.
Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Detail oriented. Accuracy and proficiency with membership data and reporting. Strong customer service, interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. Excellent written and oral communications. Must be able to work with a small staff as part of a team.
Additional Salary Information: This position is a non-exempt hourly position.
