Hospitality Technology Next Generation (HTNG) is a not-for-profit global trade association dedicated to uniting the world’s hospitality companies and technology innovators to solve industry challenges.
HTNG is run by and for the benefit of hotel IT executives, with active support from technology providers and other industry participants. It is governed by a Board of Governors consisting of senior IT executives from 20 leading hotel companies, and has more than 4,000 active members worldwide.
HTNG's activities are undertaken by hundreds of volunteers from member companies, supported by a small paid professional staff. HTNG has a staff of eleven people and is based in Schaumburg, IL
This is an entry level position with potential for growth over time. We are seeking a person who can work full time in our Schaumburg, IL office, although we will consider telecommuting for the right individual. It is an opportunity for an individual who is interested in collaborating with a small team in a variety of member-facing functions. An ideal candidate is ambitious, has strong organization and interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, and is interested in pursuing a career in association management.
Member Services and Database Management
Assist members with CRM system registration, profile updates, and other requests
Keep CRM system as accurate as possible by entering new contacts and making updates to existing records
Perform monthly data hygiene process on member database
Event Registration Management
Manage approximately 800 – 1000 registrations per year, ensuring eligibility of each attendee and collection of funds by due dates
Build online registration system and track registration analytics for each event
Register VIPs, Sponsors, Speakers for events as needed
Assist in the speaker management process
Coordinate the annual HTNG Awards program, the TechOvation Awards
Perform daily changes to website, including member updates, event agenda changes, speaker updates, etc.
Regularly create new web pages for conferences & events
Work with marketing team to help design event materials as needed
Assist in developing and maintaining ongoing marketing collateral
Assist with daily administrative tasks

Two-year or four-year degree preferred in business, marketing, hospitality or related
0-3 years experience
Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong written communication skills
Positive attitude and ambitious
Interested in hospitality or technology industry
Basic/intermediate HTML Skills
Basic understanding of technology terms
Telecommuting is allowed.
