This position assists in the management of volunteer lead committees and workgroups. This position works closely with the project manager in executing the details of volunteer engagement and membership development. An ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple conflicting deadlines while having fun and working hard.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the committee, task force and volunteer activities of SGIM.
Manage incoming email, mail and telephone inquiries for committees and membership related issues
Assist with committee member recruitment and retention administrative duties.
Responsible for data entry/maintenance for committee, task force, and workgroup volunteer data
Assist with submissions for committee, task force and volunteer information in SGIM publications
Coordinate committee communications including monthly emails, call reminders, agendas, website updates and surveys
Coordinate and order awards for volunteers including committee members and award winners
Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives for membership and committees.
Maintain committee and task force rosters and monitor member terms
Answer the information mailbox and respond to inquiries as needed
Assist with shipment of volunteer marketing materials to annual and regional meetings
Respond to routine volunteer inquiries/complaints
Cross train in membership renewal and applications
Assist with set-up and execution of membership related mass communications
Perform all other duties as assigned

Technical skills needed: Experience with a membership database and/or online social community.
College degree in a related field and 1-2 years equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
