The eLearning Specialist plays a key, high-profile, hands-on role in our mission, managing the design, development, and delivery of web-based training, including all course materials, exercises, and evaluations. The eLearning Specialist will work closely with our subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify educational needs both in the U.S. and internationally, and develop and deliver high quality digital sessions, courses, webcasts webinars, etc. You are responsible for shaping and maintaining our learning management system (LMS), and ensuring online learning activities are in compliance with ACCME criteria.
You will report to the Executive Director, and your responsibilities include:
Identifying appropriate and effective learning solutions and content delivery modes through video, audio, slides, interactives, etc.
Working with education SMEs and faculty to create, execute and manage recorded interactive multimedia training applications and learning programs.
Working with education SMEs and faculty to create, execute and manage live web-based learning events from start to completion, including registering attendees, facilitating faculty presentations and attendee questions, and technical troubleshooting as needed.
Recording, editing, uploading and posting content into the LMS to ensure optimal presentation and a robust user experience that aligns with best practices and SCCT’s brand identity and standards
Facilitating the learner experience by developing/entering course descriptions, tags and search terms in the LMS
Maintaining member education and product data within the association management system

Education, experience and skills
Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, instructional systems design, or related field.
Some experience in healthcare or medical education program management
Hands-on skills with online learning management systems
Comprehensive capability with Microsoft Office, database applications, online course rapid authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc., as well as proficiency in video and audio editing tools such as Camtasia, familiarity with SCORM standards
Awareness of ACCME accreditation requirements, procedures and reporting
Project and budget management
Telecommuting is allowed.
