The National Parking Association (NPA) is seeking a marketing manager to lead the fast-paced implementation of the organization’s integrated marketing campaigns and oversee the project management for all scheduled activities. The marketing manager provides editorial support for NPA’s monthly magazine and develops marketing content for NPA communication channels.
Play a critical role in the success of NPA and develop your career by being a key member of the marketing team and providing the primary duties of:
Project Management: Facilitate integration of all marketing campaigns into centralized tracking system—including email, direct mail, events, web and social media. Support cross-functional projects with internal departments.
Editorial Management: Manage the editorial process utilizing our outside partners, support content development initiatives, write articles as needed and manage the advertising opportunities.
Marketing Asset Creation & Management: Take part in the development and creation of engaging messaging and digital/print collateral to support initiatives to grow member engagement. Supervise production schedules and vendor deliverables.
Office Champion Leadership: Be open to and seek out ideas and needs from internal team members and ensure customer satisfaction. Be dedicated to meeting (and exceeding) goals. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Perform all other duties as assigned and required.
Expertise required for this role includes:
3-5+ years’ experience in marketing/communications team environment
Demonstrated ability to manage the write-design-print production process, as well as coordinate project vendors - printers, mail houses, freelance writers, and graphic designers
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized, concise manner
Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple constituencies, working effectively toward deadlines with strong attention to detail
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and MS Office™ proficiency, as well as experience with Association Management and Event Management software (or similar)
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff, based both locally and remotely
Ability to travel a few times per year for association events
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications preferred
Association experience preferred
This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Information Technology and will be based in Washington, D.C. This is a NEW position within a rapidly growing organization.
