TITLE: Manager, Prospect Management and Research
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP – Vice-President, Development
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt Position
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Primary duties can be completed in PFF main office location. Some travel may be necessary for Signature Events and Summit.
PRIMARY ROLE: In conjunction with prospect managers, the primary role is to manage and maintain all aspects of the donor experience, from prospect research to donor recognition. The Manager will collaborate with and support Development staff and Foundation leadership to inspire donors to support the Foundation to their fullest potential. In addition, the Manager will collaborate with the Database team to develop and maintain a reporting structure that supports the needs of Major and Planned Gifts, Events, and Annual Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for researching prospects and creating and maintaining in-depth profiles, confidential briefing documents, and other research materials using multiple screening strategies, fundraising software, social media, on-line resources, news subscriptions and other available resources.
Develops, executes, and oversees the stewardship, recognition, and reporting.
In conjunction with the Vice-President, Development and Prospect Managers, will assist in creating customized cultivation and engagement strategies for major and prospective donors.
Updates donor/prospect information in Donor Perfect database. Ensures donor and prospect records are kept current by updating demographic information, relationship links, wealth ratings and prospect management information.
Assists President/CEO, Vice-President of Development and COO with contact report entry when needed.
In conjunction with the Database team, will run ad hoc queries for reporting purposes.
In conjunction with Database team, will generate and review mailing lists using specified criteria based on relevant campaign.
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Minimum of 3 years of prospect research, donor relations, prospect management experience.
Extensive knowledge of data entry and data systems
Experience in DonorPerfect Online is preferred
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
Ability to successfully manage multiple requests in a deadline-driven environment
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Close attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as within a team-orientated, fast-paced environment that is rapidly changing
Strong professional ethics
Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) necessary to communicate diplomatically and effectively with volunteers, donors and other staff members and to provide information requiring courtesy and tact
Excellent planner, detail-orientated, organized
