This position serves as Chief Executive Officer and principal lobbyist for the Association and affiliated organizations.
Administer the personnel function including developing and maintaining position descriptions, performance evaluations and the compensation program within the budget adopted by the Board of Directors.
Monitor compliance with all established administrative policies and procedures and to oversee association budget.
Plan, organize, coordinate, control and direct staff, programs and activities, with direct responsibility for production of the VESTA Home Show.
Develop and maintain working relationships with local, state, and national government officials.
Oversee, and participate when possible, in the activities of all committees and councils. Assure that all committees and councils have adequate staff support.
Proven background with ability to facilitate constructive communication between association, members and external organizations
Flexibility with regards to work schedule to participate in functions, travel and meetings which occur outside typical office hours
Strong organizational and budgetary skills to oversee association operations effectively
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle media relations
