The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals and is seeking a full-time Manager, Dietetic Practice Group (DPG) and Member Interest Group (MIG) Online Communities to oversee the development and maintenance of DPG/MIG websites that engage practitioners in their specialized communities. This position is critical to the Academy and its members and has a direct influence on member engagement, satisfaction and revenue growth. Member feedback rates Professional Development and Networking as the top reasons for joining the Academy and this position is critical to the successful and sustained growth of the DPG and MIG program.
Manage the Academy’s DPG and MIG websites, overseeing website development and enhancement in the Higher Logic platform and online DPG/MIG member communication strategies.
Manage DPG/MIG volunteer work groups through project management of website development, implementation and ongoing oversight.
Identify creative ways to inform and engage various audiences through DPG/MIG websites. Utilize analytics and/or other online resources to inform and shape content and make recommendations re: website navigation, UX design, etc.
Maintain website standards with regard to Academy policies and organizational identity.
Oversee third party vendor contractors for DPG/MIG web properties and work with vendors, when needed, to help optimize Academy websites.
Support the integration of DPG/MIG content and CPEU with the Academy’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Collaborate with internal Academy teams to develop and manage cross team efforts to ensure efficient and effective processes.
Oversee special projects as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
3-4 years of relevant job experience required. Ideal candidate will have experience working with Web/Digital Strategy and Development.
Demonstrated understanding of professional association environments and member communications.
A “member first” approach, good listening skills and the ability to manage and complete tasks.
A background in healthcare, food or nutrition is advantageous but not required.
Strong communication, volunteer and project management skills are necessary
