The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) located in Arlington, VA is seeking a Manager of Education & Meetings. NWRA is the leading voice in the waste and recycling industry, representing private-sector U.S. waste and recycling companies, as well as the manufacturers and service providers that do business with those companies.
The Manager of Education & Meetings works with the Senior Director of Education & Events to help identify, develop, and implement relevant industry educational programs and assist with industry meetings.
Assisting with the development and overall management of educational programming and logistics for our annual trade show.
Assists with planning and execution of various NWRA conferences and other regional meetings/events.
Develop and execute an annual educational webinar strategy. Manage the process from start to finish, including speaker recruitment, webinar logistics, registration and webinar follow up.
Works with education committee to identify topics for educational programming throughout the year.
Assist Membership Manager with day-to-day logistics of annual Award programs.
Assist with education and membership administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3-4 years of association work experience.
Strong project management and organizational skills a must.
Ability to travel, as needed, to participate in national conferences and meetings.
Experience working with webinar platform, preferably GotoMeetings or Webex.
Resourceful, detail-oriented a must.
Salesforce experience a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proofreading skills a plus.
