The American Staffing Association seeks an outgoing and energetic Content Specialist to play an integral role in the development and launch of an organization-wide strategy for content organization and distribution. The Content Specialist will contribute to and support publishing and marketing team initiatives with a primary focus on developing and honing ASA content to appeal to and engage targeted audiences; developing and implementing marketing plans for all aspects of the association’s value proposition; and working with internal clients as part of the publishing and marketing team. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills who wants to maximize the opportunity this new position offers to learn, grow, and reap results in a team environment.
With the guidance of the Senior Director, Publishing and Marketing, and Senior Marketing Manager, create and execute an organization-wide strategy for content promotion and targeted messaging
Organize and manage content between teams and distribution platforms
Develop, write, implement, and help manage content marketing plans and projects.
Write and edit copy for ads, emails, publications, websites, videos, and digital/social media messaging
Work with the Senior Marketing Manager and Web Content Specialist by creating and sending emails and updating the association’s website as needed
Compile and distribute reports on web/email analytics; set analytics benchmarks and goals; communicate with internal clients
Develop digital content from print material and customize that content for target audiences
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, content marketing, and audience engagement
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, and a minimum of two years of relevant experience required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Strong organizational and project management skills
Experience in print and/or digital marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of basic HTML and email marketing software (Informz/Higher Logic) required
Working knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, project management software, customer relationship management software (iMIS), content management systems, social media platforms, video production (Final Cut Pro), and analytics platforms desirable
Familiarity with Wall Street Journal style a plus
Positive, can-do attitude and a strong attention to detail
Ability to contribute to and maintain a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication
