The Director of Programs, an essential part of the NGCOA leadership team, will oversee the development, execution and member engagement in strategically-critical initiatives aimed to help golf course operators and the golf industry. Success in this job will be measured by member participation metrics and revenue growth.
The successful candidate is simply an all-around operational athlete with great fluency in the business of associations. You can think strategically. You have fresh ideas. You should be experienced with budgeting, planning, and monitoring KPIs. Your resume and references must demonstrate success, and you must be able to confirm results achieved. Bonus points if you already understand golf industry issues. This is the ultimate project manager position.
Lead the creation and management of new programs aimed at lifting the value of membership in NGCOA and securing new income sources for the organization.
Administer several NGCOA programs currently being offered, including:
NGCOA Smart Buy purchasing program and NGCOA Insurance Services.
NGCOA’s data and research projects, including compensation and benefits report and performance benchmarking with ORCA.
Administer NGCOA web-based membership programs currently in development.
Utilize volunteer committees for member feedback and advice on initiatives.
Directly engage NGCOA membership via email, phone and in-person meetings to increase participation and enrollment in programs.
Work with Marketing, Membership, Education, Advocacy and Corporate Partnerships team to ensure the most effective and relevant programs are created and managed.
Establish, manage and monitor project budget and performance.
Five or more years of professional experience in project management or relevant field
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical skills and ability to provide recommendations based on insights
Solid work ethic, and positive, get-it-done-now attitude
Self-motivated enough to work alone, but confident enough to work with a team of demanding colleagues and member customers
