The Certification Coordinator is the first responder for customer service requests for the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification program and other service fulfillment functions. In addition, the Certification Coordinator monitors the CFRE International online community platform.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Certification: • Respond to inquiries regarding the CFRE credential and CFRE International via e-mail and phone with a goal of speedy, accurate, friendly, high-quality customer service. • Respond to verification requests for certification and Participating Organization membership. • Process Authorization-to-Test communications and extension requests. • Do data entry, database clean-up and maintenance, and test database updates. • Process check payments. • Process and mail certificates and/or upload certificate information to a mail house for certificate processing and delivery. • Manage stock of certificates and related stationery. • Initiate automated calls for recertification reminders. • Maintain unsubscribe list in database. • Provide general administrative support for certification program. • Other duties as assigned.
Communications and Marketing: • At minimum, monitor the CFRE International online community platform twice daily on business days to assure civility, appropriate language, and absence of spam or other unwelcome commercial messages. • Monitoring of CFRE International social media and Google Alerts when the Communications and Marketing Manager is unavailable. • Packing and shipping of conference materials. • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • A bachelor's degree and experience with certification programs or similar experience is preferred. • Strong writing and oral communication skills. • Ability to communicate certification information and policy objectively to candidates while maintaining an empathetic communication style. • Basic understanding of online communities and comfort in working within an online community platform. • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently or as a team member as required. • Ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities. • A focus on solutions rather than problems. • Professional, collegial, and a team player. • Commitment to excellence. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management (Salesforce preferred). • Knowledge of the fundraising profession and the philanthropic sector (preferred). Working conditions
Periodic travel may be required. Occasional lifting of packages weighing less than 50 pounds may be required as part of management of stationery stock, packing and shipping of conference materials, and/or set-up and tear-down of exhibition booths.
