E&A is seeking an Account Executive to work in the company’s association management division. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative, proactive, and detail-oriented team leader. Knowledge and experience in association management, board management, fundraising, and financial management is key. This position will be responsible for serving as the Deputy Executive Director of E&A’s largest client, the Virginia Society of Association Executives (VSAE). Attention to detail, ability to think ahead, and strong customer service skills are essential.
This full-time exempt position is on-site in our Richmond office. Travel mostly within Virginia is required with some overnights annually. College degree or relevant experience required.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Oversee workflow, project, and team management for all assigned association management clients.
Serve as the Deputy Executive Director of the Virginia Society of Association Executives.
Work with Education Committee on all professional development programming including securing content leaders.
Work with CAE Committee to promote the CAE program and manage the semi-annual study groups.
Lead VSAE’s bundled advertising and sponsorship program, the Partner Program, including selling managing, and delivering benefits.
Act as liaison to volunteer committees.
Oversee the communications program including print newsletter, digital newsletter, website, social media, and all marketing and promotion.
Marketing and sales of membership including recruitment and retention strategies.
Work with the Executive Director and board on the development and implementation of the strategic plan.
5-7 years of association management experience preferably with management experience.
Excellent customer service skills for interactions with clients, board, volunteers, vendors, and members.
Strong communication (written and verbal), proofreading, time management, and organizational skills.
Visionary who thinks, acts and leads strategically.
Exceptional project management skills with attention to detail.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with association management systems; proficiency with MemberClicks a plus.
Problem solving, analytical thinking, and ability to work on multiple tasks independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment to meet deadlines
Must have the desire and ambition to work hard and show results to become the Executive Director in 6-12 months.
