National Defense Industrial Association Manager, Corporate Membership
The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is seeking a strong Manager, Corporate Membership. This role is responsible for engaging and maintaining relationships with current corporate members as well as executing and implementing strategies to capture new corporate partnership opportunities.
The Manager of Corporate Membership supports the goals and objectives of NDIA and reports to the Director, Membership and Chapter Relations. This position provides management/administrative assistance for all the association’s membership promotion efforts. Position requires travel to industry trade shows; recruitment of corporate and individual memberships. Interacts with the meetings/exhibits marketing and membership teams to achieve membership recruitment goals.
Major Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with NDIA leadership to establish short and long-term corporate membership revenue goals and pursue established goals throughout the year.
Develop recommendations and refine recruitment documents for the corporate membership, specifically the Corporate Capture Campaign.
Coordinate and collaborate with other departments on the development of membership collateral documents.
Report regularly on corporate membership to the senior leadership team, including the SVP of Program Development and Membership & the Chief of Staff.
Identify, prioritize, and pursue potential corporate members via environmental scans and other research methods.
Monitor and manage overlapping outreach efforts with Marketing & Communications, Program Development, Divisions, Exhibit and Sponsor Sales staff, Meetings & Business Partnerships and other teams.
Bachelor’s degree and at previous experience in corporate membership, member relations, or a related field, preferably nonprofit group; demonstrated success achieving revenue through an effective prospecting and cultivation strategy for new and prospective members; excellent interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communications; strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills; adept at working with a diverse group of personalities; self-starter and able to work independently and as part of a team; ability to integrate imagination and creativity into the work with enthusiasm; and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database (preferably Net Forum).
