ENA is looking for a self-starting, deadline-driven, Membership Development Specialist to join the ENA team! This role works independently, and as a team lead in a variety of functions, establishing programs and initiatives focused on cultivating new members and creating a pipeline to transition members into active and engaged members of ENA. This role will also manage the day-to-day execution and tracking of membership recruitment campaigns working closely with marketing department colleagues.
Position responsibilities include:
Creates an annual member recruitment strategic plan and partners with Communications and Marketing departments on the execution of tactics.
Manages the first phase of the member lifecycle, creating programs and opportunities for onboarding, focusing on first year members to increase retention.
Oversees prospective member development and implements target market strategies in partnership with key departments.
Serves as a representative of ENA to promote membership at select industry events and trade shows.
Manages data needs for communications and outcome reporting – related to campaigns and recruitment including results metrics and detailed record-keeping.
Engages state leaders in membership recruitment efforts, providing resources and training to membership chairs as needed.
Helps maintain membership areas of the website ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate, in partnership with Marketing and IT.
Tracks effectiveness of and reports on ROI for membership recruitment efforts to department leadership.
Manages membership promotion budget and tracks against expenses.

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements and demonstrated experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related field
Minimum of 5 years related experience
Membership organization experience
Experience with membership or subscription revenue models
Ability to think creatively to meet strategic plans
Ability to prioritize multiple and varied tasks
Ability to lead projects through to completion
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong reporting and results tracking
Ability to set and meet deadlines
Strong writing skills
Self-starter who is goal-driven and has strong communication skills and experience
