The selected candidate will bring a proven track record and experience in the management of all aspects of nonprofit operations, to include membership, expanding and growing conference attendance and enhancement of the association’s brand and image. The successful ED will serve as a leader and resource to the AHF Board of Directors, providing guidance and counsel to the Board and other volunteers. The executive will manage the staff team to successful outcomes as defined by the annual plan of work, strategic plan and budget. The ED will also work with key Interel management to create successful deliverables and outcomes for AHF. The successful candidate will acquire, develop and demonstrate an understanding of AHF’s profession and industry, while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the stature and position of AHF. The executive will provide leadership, planning and new and more efficient processes to the AHF Board and staff.
The successful candidate:
Must have demonstrated competence in the financial managing similar associations, as well as possess high-level nonprofit financial management and budgeting expertise along with the necessary business skills and knowledge.
Should be a qualified, experienced, successful, Association Executive. CAE
Must have a leadership presence and be able to earn the trust of the board while understanding the relationship between trust and successful advice-giving; the key components of trust; and the way trust must be nurtured within the board-staff relationship.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship development and business partner relationship building and engagement.
The selected candidate will provide vision, planning and proactive ideas to benefit association leadership and staff along with continuous support and council to the President and Executive Committee.
Ability to work effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors and committee chairs, and to represent the goals and objectives of the board as detailed in its plan of work and advance the mission of AHF to members and related professional organizations.
B.A. Degree required; Advanced Degree and Certified Association Executive (CAE) Certification preferred. Nonprofit Management, Financial Management, and volunteer leadership experience a plus. Competitive salary and benefits plan. EOE.
